Estimator / Project Manager

Overview We are seeking an experienced Estimator / Project Manager to join our growing construction team. This role combines the critical functions of accurately estimating project costs with overseeing the successful management and execution of construction projects. As an integral part of our team, you will drive project success from initial bid to completion, ensuring cost control, adherence to contracts, and client satisfaction. Responsibilities Prepare comprehensive construction estimates utilizing industry-standard software such as Xactimate, HeavyBid and Bluebeam, ensuring accuracy in pricing and scope. Lead negotiations with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to secure favorable terms and pricing. Develop detailed project budgets, monitor costs throughout the project lifecycle, and implement effective cost control measures. Oversee construction site activities to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget while maintaining safety standards. Manage contractual obligations by reviewing, drafting, and enforcing contracts with clients and subcontractors. Coordinate project schedules, resources, and personnel to optimize productivity and efficiency. Collaborate closely with project teams to resolve issues promptly, manage change orders, and ensure seamless communication across all stakeholders. Requirements Proven experience in construction estimating with proficiency in Bluebeam and HeavyBid software tools. Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles, cost control strategies, and pricing methodologies. Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with vendors, subcontractors, and clients. Hands-on construction site experience coupled with a solid understanding of construction management practices. Familiarity with contracts, project management processes, and safety protocols on construction sites. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines. Effective communication skills to liaise confidently with clients, team members, and external partners. Ideal candidates will possess a background in heavy civil or commercial construction projects along with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Experience in contract administration and a thorough understanding of project management principles will set you apart.
