Direct line to VP Key leadership role within a growing, well-respected specialty industrial contractor Diverse, challenging project portfolio across multiple industrial sectors Accountability-driven, collaborative culture Competitive compensation and benefits Tiello has partnered with a highly successful Industrial/Mechanical Contractor in the greater Owensboro, KY area on their search for a Senior Estimator with experience in quality bids/take off's/estimating in specialty welding, including tube & pipe welding and installation, ASME Code welding on boilers & pressure vessels, equipment removal and replacement, general plant maintenance services, steel fabrication & erection, and duct work fabrication & erection. The ideal Estimator Candidate has spent their career in industrial mechanical, piping, or specialty contracting - not commercial or residential construction. The key is someone who understands the technical complexity of industrial environments (plants, utilities, mills) and can price labor, materials, and risk accurately in those settings.
Projects :
Industrial - Pulp/Paper, Coal, Renewable and Gas Power Plants, Chemical, Oil/Gas, Food/Bev, heavy Metal Fabrication for Government Contracts and Commercial Projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead full-cycle estimating on industrial mechanical, piping, welding, structural steel, HRSG, and plant maintenance projects Perform detailed takeoffs, material pricing, labor analysis, and competitive bid assembly Manage multiple concurrent bids and deadlines with precision Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors Collaborate with operations and project management on project handoffs and budgets Conduct site walks, RFI development, and risk/value engineering analysis Mentor junior estimating staff
Required Skills & Qualifications:
7+ years of estimating experience in industrial mechanical, piping, specialty welding, or related industrial construction Hands-on experience with piping, ASME code welding, pressure vessels, boilers, HRSG, structural steel, or ductwork preferred Ability to read P&IDs, isometric drawings, specs, and contract documents Strong knowledge of industrial labor productivity, crew composition, and field operations Estimating software proficiency and advanced Microsoft Excel skills Excellent communication and organizational skills Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S Tiello is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
