1. Prepare detailed cost estimates for various construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and time requirements. 2. Review and evaluate cost estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness. 3. Utilize advanced software tools such as OST for estimating purposes. 4. Prepare and submit competitive project bids. 5. Analyze and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and other project specifications. 6. Collaborate with architects, engineers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors on project cost estimates. 7. Conduct risk analysis to identify potential issues and develop cost-effective solutions. 8. Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and advancements in construction estimating techniques. 9. Provide consultation on planning, scheduling, and cost control strategies. 10. Regularly report to management on project status, potential risks, and cost overruns.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. 2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating, with a proven track record in the healthcare, higher education, school, commercial, federal/state/government construction, and disaster construction sectors. 3. Proficiency in estimating software such as OST. 4. Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment. 5. Excellent numerical skills and ability to produce accurate, detailed estimates. 6. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present cost estimates to clients, stakeholders, and team members clearly and convincingly. 7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify potential cost overruns and propose cost-effective solutions. 8. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. 9. High level of professionalism, with a commitment to upholding company standards and ethics. 10. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various project sites as needed.
