Job Description
Job Summary Responsibilities:
- From project plans and specifications measure and extract material quantities to be used in project estimates.
- Contact potential suppliers and subcontractors to request pricing quotes.
- Create basic proposal project schedules.
- Organize project plans, specifications, addenda, and vendor quotes for estimating department.
- Assist with updates to historical cost databases and track cost trends to improve future bids.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program for Construction management or related field in Baton Rouge, LA.
- Basic Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Familiarity with takeoff software such as Bluebeam and scheduling software such as Microsoft Project.
- Work in office setting for approximately 20 hours per week at Baton Rouge main office location.
