This individual will estimate projects with review and support of Estimating Leadership. Responsibilities include pre-bid attendance as needed, site visits, bid management, development of cost estimates, evaluation of subcontractor and supplier costs, and risk analysis. You will be supported by junior estimators performing quantity takeoff comparisons and an estimating coordinator who facilitates solicitations to subcontractors and vendors, qualification/prequalification requirements, and minority participation documentation. Our Estimating Team functions in a collaborative environment that includes support and input from our Operations Team. We value a strong work ethic and encourage a balanced approach to work and personal life. The ideal candidate should have proven experience in civil construction estimating. The candidate should possess an understanding of road work, excavation, underground utilities, contractual requirements, conceptual estimating, design drawings, and project specifications. The candidate should understand risk analysis and have proven estimating experience, with a preference for local Texas experience.
