Job Description

Electrical Estimator
  • Industrial Projects Office based in Rochester, NY (Local Travel) Full-Time | Direct Hire $35
  • 50/hr + Bonus Potential We re partnering with a growing industrial services organization to hire an Electrical Estimator to support complex construction and equipment installation projects. This role is ideal for someone with a strong electrical field background who understands how work actually gets done
  • and can turn drawings into real-world cost, labor, and execution plans.
What you ll do:
Develop detailed electrical estimates (labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors) Review drawings, schematics, and P&IDs to build accurate takeoffs Perform site visits and walkthroughs to validate scope and conditions Work closely with construction managers, engineers, and field electricians Coordinate with vendors and suppliers on pricing and materials Support project planning, scheduling, and cost tracking Ensure estimates reflect real-world installation methods and field constraints Apply
NEC, NFPA
70, and OSHA standards in all estimates Identify cost savings and improve estimating accuracy over time
Qualifications:
7+ years of electrical construction or field experience 3+ years of electrical estimating experience Strong knowledge of power distribution and control/instrumentation wiring Ability to read electrical drawings, schematics, and P&IDs Familiarity with NEC, NFPA, and OSHA standards Experience with estimating tools and Microsoft Office Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects Nice to have: Experience with AutoCAD or SolidWorks Background in industrial environments (manufacturing, energy, chemical, pharma) Nesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
