Southwick, MA Salary Range:
\$90,000.00 To \$105,000.00
Job Position Summary:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for hard metal parts. Creates and maintains manufacturing Routings and Bills of Materials for production of Aerospace components.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Experience of estimating in aerospace field
REQUIRED.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally.
  • Excellent Interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Time Management skills to meet the demand of the customer.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities.
  • Ability to read and interpret customer Blueprints, Specifications and Manufacturing Processes.
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Working knowledge of procedures including BOM creation and estimating.
  • Well organized, self-directed.
  • Familiar with machine capabilities and related processes.
  • Experience in Process Engineering preferred.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulation and standard. Follow Safety culture and wear PPE when required.
  • Responsible for acknowledging Request for Quotes (RFQ?s), reviewing, and interpreting technical data.
  • Gathering info and quotes from vendors
  • Preparing complete quote packages for approval and review
  • Follow 6s Procedures and maintains a clean organized work area.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
  • Normal Production environments, subject to high noise levels from operating machines; physical hazards from moving equipment and sharp machine parts; breathing fumes, dust, and mist; skin exposure to oil and cutting fluid; exposure to sharp metal edges, and forklifts.
  • May be asked to travel back and forth between Southwick and Westfield facilities.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must have ability to read applicable customer documents with or without corrective lenses.
  • May have to lift up to thirty (20) pounds at a time, as required.
  • Must be able to push, pull, reach overhead, stand, walk, climb stairs, bend and/or sit for long periods of time.
