Our client is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Estimator to join their growing team. This role offers the chance to work in a fast-paced, client-focused environment, where building strong relationships and delivering high-quality estimates are key.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate labor, material, and equipment takeoffs for a range of projects Develop detailed cost estimates for mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection systems Collaborate with construction managers, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors to create comprehensive project proposals Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors Analyze project documents to understand the scope and relay key information to the operations team Solicit and review subcontractor and vendor pricing, ensuring compliance with project specifications Identify project risks and opportunities and present them to the team for review Maintain and organize bid documents, including plans, specifications, RFIs, and quotes
What We're Looking For:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating for mechanical, plumbing, or fire protection systems Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Highly organized with excellent time management skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoBid Mechanical, and Bid Tracer A proactive, self-starting attitude with a commitment to continuous learning and growth Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment Why Join This Team?
