We are a large floor covering subcontractor in the Mid-Atlantic Region is seeking an experienced flooring estimator for commercial projects in our Columbia, MD office. We are looking for someone with 3+ years in the commercial flooring world. Job duties include but are not limited to: Examine plans and specs to prepare a complete scope of work Takeoff plans using estimating software Work in conjunction with and assist Sales staff with preparing bids Prepare detailed plans and breakdowns of material for installation Maintain effective communication with Sales and Administrative staff

Experience:

Must be familiar with reading and understanding blueprints 3+ years of estimating experience Knowledge of flooring industry: carpet, hardwood, resilient and ceramic tile knowledge Mechanical aptitude with ability to complete basic mathematical calculations Microsoft Office, general PC knowledge/usage, associated industry software and be knowledgeable of proper email etiquette The ideal candidate: Has the ability to work under pressure, work with deadlines and within a team environment to best achieve excellent and timely results Will be extremely detailed and organized Must be willing to learn not only our process but continue to learn as an Estimator Should be professional and a team player
