The Opportunity Synergi is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Estimator to join our growing pre-construction team. In this role, you will work closely with clients, vendors, subcontractors, engineering teams, and operations to develop accurate project budgets, scopes, and proposals. You will play a critical role in helping secure and launch exciting architectural and construction projects by combining technical knowledge, commercial awareness, and strong communication skills. What You'll Be Doing Reviewing architectural drawings, specifications, and bid documents Performing quantity take-offs and detailed cost analysis Developing scopes of work and preparing competitive bid proposals Preparing RFIs and communicating with clients and project stakeholders Soliciting and evaluating subcontractor and vendor pricing Analyzing labor, material, fabrication, and installation costs Building budgets, bid leveling sheets, and project estimates Identifying project risks, opportunities, and value engineering ideas Maintaining estimating databases and pricing tools Collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and project management teams Supporting process improvements within the pre-construction department What We're Looking For Skills & Attributes Strong organizational and time-management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail Experience with estimating and take-off software (Bluebeam is a plus) Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Strong Excel and financial modeling/template skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Experience Proven experience as an Estimator or in a similar construction/pre-construction role Experience estimating curtainwall, railing systems, architectural metals, or related scopes is a strong plus Education & Certifications (Preferred) Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Science, or related field Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) designation is an asset Success in This Role Successful candidates will demonstrate: Accurate and timely project estimates Strong vendor and subcontractor coordination Thorough scope development and specification review High-quality bid documentation and analysis Strong collaboration across departments and project teams Work Environment This role primarily operates in a professional office environment, with occasional visits to manufacturing facilities, warehouses, and active construction sites. This role may require occasional travel to local and national job sites. Physical Requirements This position may require prolonged periods of sitting, computer work, and occasional lifting of up to 15 pounds.
