An Estimator provides cost estimates for a project, based on an evaluation of the materials, labor, time and equipment needed to complete the project. May specialize in many aspects of construction or in manufacturing and design industries.
SUMMARY The Sales Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for architectural metal wall panel projects. This role analyzes project drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine material, labor, and installation costs while collaborating with customers, contractors, architects, and internal teams. The Sales Estimator supports business growth by identifying project opportunities, preparing quotations, maintaining customer relationships, and ensuring estimates align with project requirements, company standards, and profitability goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned based on business needs. Perform takeoffs from architectural and structural drawings. Liaison between production and sales departments and other related units for Metalwërks product line. Coordinate all submittals with project specifications and proposal terms after the sales. Prepare submittal packages, review, and coordinate shop drawings with engineering to ensure they comply with the sold scope of work. Montior competitive landscape, industry trends, and customer feedback to inform the sales, technical, and production department. Works directly with other channel managers and other product lines throughout daily activities if it pertains to their department including cross selling for Brightsmith Coaters when necessary. Recommends products based on cost, availability, specifications or to increase customer satisfaction. Uses proactive sales approach by utilizing sales tools to establish contacts, appointments, requests to aid the efforts of the territory manager. Presents price, credit and terms in accordance with standard procedures and customer's classification level. Accurately processes customer transactions such as purchase orders, quotations and returns. Increases sales and average order size by means of cross-selling, up-selling and add-on sales. Educates customers about terminology, features and benefits or products in order to improve product related sales and customer satisfaction. Meet with key clients, assisting Product Representatives with maintaining relationships and negotiating closing deals. Contacts customers following sale to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and resolve complaints. Manages time effectively, meets personal goals and works effectively with co-workers. Follows company policies and procedures. Presents a professional image always to customers and vendors. Performs other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS
Requires the ability to use Microsoft office specifically proficient with word and excel. Experience with Bluebeam, Adobe Acrobat, Autocad 2002, 3d Modeling in Revit, Inventor or similar systems. Ability to respond to a fast-paced work environment and handle multiple tasks. EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience .
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, and customers.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
