Commercial Construction Estimator Alda Contracting Services - MD / DC / DE / VA / PA About Alda Alda Contracting Services is a commercial general contractor focused on tenant fit-outs, renovations, and interior buildouts across Maryland, DC, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. We are looking for a hands-on Estimator / Preconstruction Manager to take ownership of the bidding process and support projects from early pricing through handoff to the field. We run a lean, execution-focused team. Our projects move quickly, and coordination, clarity, and responsiveness are critical. About the Role This is a key role within a lean, fast-moving team. You will be responsible for developing estimates that are accurate, complete, and competitive, while ensuring a smooth handoff to the field once projects are awarded.

We are looking for someone who understands that estimating is not just about pricing — it is about setting each project up for success from the very start. What You'll Be Responsible For Own the full bidding process from start to submission Review drawings, define scope, and identify gaps or risks Perform quantity takeoffs and develop accurate estimates Solicit, manage, and level subcontractor bids across all trades Audit numbers and verify pricing before submission Build clear, organized proposals for clients Manage and grow the subcontractor database as we expand Prepare contracts and support subcontractor onboarding Provide estimating reports and pipeline visibility Lead handoff from preconstruction to field teams (superintendents) What We're Looking For Experience estimating commercial construction projects Strong ability to define scope, not just price what's given Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously Strong attention to detail and ability to verify numbers Clear communication with subcontractors and internal team Organized, proactive, and takes ownership Preferred Experience In Tenant fit-outs, renovations, and commercial interiors Retail, restaurant, or franchise construction MEP coordination and subcontractor management Experience in fast-paced, small to mid-size projects

Pay:

$60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
