Structural & Miscellaneous Steel Estimator Location:

Livonia, MI Job Type:

Full-Time | On-Site Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Structural & Miscellaneous Steel Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates and competitive proposals for industrial, manufacturing, power, and energy construction projects. Responsibilities Review project drawings, specifications, and attend pre-bid meetings. Prepare detailed cost estimates and bid documentation. Solicit and evaluate vendor and supplier quotations. Develop cost-effective estimating solutions based on engineering, quality, and material availability. Prepare conceptual estimates and negotiated proposals. Coordinate with project teams on awarded projects, including change orders. Support proposal development, project narratives, schedules, and estimating databases. Build strong relationships with owners, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers. Qualifications 7+ years of estimating experience in Structural & Miscellaneous Steel construction. Strong knowledge of conceptual estimating, bidding, and cost control. Ability to prepare estimates with minimal supervision. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project (or similar scheduling software). Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Construction Management preferred. PE is a plus.

Travel:

Periodic jobsite travel required.

Pay:

$70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
