Duties Review project plans, specifications, and site conditions to develop comprehensive estimates for commercial cleaning contracts. Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to prepare detailed cost proposals that include labor, materials, equipment, and overhead. Conduct site visits to assess scope of work, identify potential challenges, and gather accurate data for pricing. Collaborate with project managers, operations teams, and clients to refine project scope and ensure alignment with client expectations. Negotiate contract terms and pricing with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to secure favorable agreements while maintaining quality standards. Monitor project costs throughout execution to ensure adherence to budgets and implement cost control measures when necessary. Prepare detailed bid packages, including scope of work, pricing breakdowns, and contractual documents that clearly communicate project requirements. Experience Proven experience in janitorial or industrial estimating within the commercial cleaning or related industry. Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles, including cost control, pricing strategies, and contract management. Familiarity with HeavyBid or similar estimating software is highly preferred. Hands-on construction site experience that provides insight into on-the-ground project realities. Demonstrated ability in negotiation with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to achieve optimal outcomes. Background in facility management or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory; a solid understanding of construction processes is essential.
