  • $140k Our client, a precision CNC machining and advanced manufacturing company serving aerospace, defense, medical device, and specialty industrial markets, is seeking an Estimator to join their Fridley-based team.
This role bridges engineering, production, and customer engagement—translating complex machining requirements into accurate, competitive bids while ensuring manufacturability and operational alignment. The ideal candidate understands CNC machining from the shop floor up and can evaluate labor, tooling, outside processing, and lead times with confidence. This is a highly technical, customer-facing role suited for someone who combines machining expertise with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Estimator Responsibilities:
Analyze RFQs and collaborate with customers to clarify scope, materials, tolerances, and production requirements. Develop detailed cost estimates including machining time, labor, tooling, outside processing, and lead times. Partner with shop leadership to validate processes and identify risk areas prior to quoting. Support production by troubleshooting machining processes and resolving technical challenges as needed. Serve as a liaison between customers, production, and inspection teams to ensure alignment and timely updates.
Estimator Requirements:
Hands-on experience in a CNC machining environment, including programming and operating machining centers and lathes. Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling strategies, and production flow. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications with a cost-focused mindset. Experience with ERP/job tracking systems such as JobBOSS preferred. Familiarity with GibbsCAM, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office is a plus. Benefits Competitive base salary ($80,000
