Key Responsibilities:
Estimating:
Perform detailed takeoffs and prepare accurate cost estimates for demolition and carpentry scopes Review construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents to fully understand project scope Conduct site visits and job walk-throughs to validate conditions and identify risks Develop proposals, budgets, and value engineering options for clients Maintain and utilize historical cost data to improve estimating accuracy Manage multiple bids simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Project Management:
Oversee projects from preconstruction through completion, ensuring delivery on time and within budget Review contracts, schedules, and procurement needs Coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, and vendors to execute work effectively Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and general contractors Lead project meetings and provide regular updates on progress, scope, and cost Identify opportunities for cost savings while maintaining safety and quality standards
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) Minimum 3+ years of experience in construction estimating, project management, or related role Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Solid understanding of building systems, construction methods, and sequencing Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously Strong communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency with construction software and tools (e.g., estimating software, project management platforms, Microsoft Office) A bit about us: - Our client is a well-established specialty contractor with over three decades of experience delivering high-quality demolition and carpentry services across a wide range of commercial construction projects.
