Responsibilities include visiting proposed job sites and helping prepare estimates by taking measurements, reviewing and maintaining project records and documentation, reviewing or developing drawings (including CAD drawings as required), assisting with part and material planning (bid lists, materials, equipment, etc.), reviewing proposed designs for constructability and value engineering, participating in contract negotiations, creating and updating project schedules, problem solving, coordinating project meetings, managing project costs, managing change orders, acquiring building permits, and managing submittals for job scope. The Estimator will work closely with the Operations Manager and Field Technicians throughout the project lifecycle to ensure projects are completed in compliance with requirements while addressing client questions and concerns to ensure customer satisfaction. Visit project work sites, clarify scope of work, and prepare cost estimates and proposals. Evaluate projects for constructability and value-engineering cost savings. Develop and implement strategies to achieve project objectives related to price, schedule, and quality. Review contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders to ensure all project goals are being addressed. Proactively identify issues that could lead to problems and facilitate effective solutions. Participate in weekly staff meetings and industry networking functions. Perform other duties as required.
