Job Description Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment. Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine scope and requirements. Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure accurate budget development. Analyze bids from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and compliance with project needs. Maintain and update cost databases to reflect current market trends and pricing. Provide value engineering recommendations to optimize project costs without compromising quality. Monitor and adjust estimates throughout the project lifecycle to align with changes or unforeseen conditions. Prepare and present estimation reports to stakeholders for approval and decision-making. The Successful Applicant A successful Senior Estimator should have: Extensive knowledge of construction estimation processes and tools. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and technical documents. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making. Familiarity with industry-standard estimation software and tools.
