Estimator - Commercial Construction

Estimator responsibilities:

• Accurately estimate construction project costs, including materials, labor, and equipment
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and other documents to prepare detailed cost estimates
• Use industry-specific software to efficiently calculate cost estimates
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and other team members to review and improve cost estimates
• Monitor project costs throughout the lifespan of the construction project to ensure compliance with budget and time constraints Estimator essential job functions:
• Analyze construction documents to understand and identify project requirements
• Attend pre-bid meetings
• Review subcontractor proposals and work with subcontractors to receive competitive pricing
• Prepare and review final proposal pricing Estimator skills and qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction estimating
• Proficient in industry software such as Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, and PlanSwift
• Knowledgeable in construction methods and practices, including pricing, equipment, and labor costs
• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
