Commercial Estimator - Glazing

Commercial Estimator Wanted Low-drama, high-productivity commercial glazing team looking for a strong leader with their act together. We are seeking an Estimator to bid commercial glazing projects, win work, and hand off prepared project folders to our commercial project managers to complete work. The Commercial Estimator drives the department backlog. The ideal candidate likes to drive around Kansas City pointing out glazing projects they did to friends and family (all the good ones do this). We do lots of storefront, a bit of curtainwall, and some service work. We have a full docket of work ready to go here. Currently no traveling work outside the KC Metro on the backlog and no plans to pick up and run around the country; we have a nice base of GCs in our region that use us exclusively, and they keep us very busy in our hometown.

Duties:

• Prepare work to be estimated by gathering and evaluating proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documentation. • Review estimate elements for adequacy, uniformity, and completeness, ensuring cost-based accuracy, as well as timely preparation of relevant documentation in accordance with Company standards and guidelines.

Must Haves:

3-5 years of commercial glazing experience Familiarity with construction estimating and site management Strong time management and organizational skills Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics • Computer literate - MS Office suite Nice to
