Missouri , Raymore Job Description Gpac has partnered with a heavy civil contractor looking to add an Electrical Estimator to their team. The Electrical Estimator will play a crucial role in our project planning and execution phase, focusing on cost estimation, bid proposal preparation, and the initial stages of project management for electrical components of infrastructure projects. This position requires a combination of technical knowledge, analytical skills, and effective communication to ensure accurate and competitive project bidding.

Electrical Estimator Duties:

Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical scopes of work by analyzing project drawings, specifications, and other documentation. Develop take-offs for electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, utility work, and preliminary project schedules. Conduct thorough reviews of potential projects to determine feasibility, risk, and profitability. Collaborate with the project management team to align project objectives and strategies. Compile project risk matrix and formulate risk mitigation strategies. Liaise with vendors and subcontractors to solicit and evaluate bids, ensuring all estimates include up-to-date pricing and availability of materials and labor. Perform quote comparisons and make recommendations for selection. Engage with clients during the bidding process to clarify project requirements, adjustments, and to foster strong professional relationships. Present and explain project proposals to clients, designers, and operations teams. Maintain detailed records of all estimations, bids, and initial project specifications to ensure transparency and accuracy in project initiation. Assist in oversight of historical cost database, bid management, and estimating software.

Electrical Estimator Requirements:

Degree in electrical or civil engineering, construction management or related field (preferred) Proven experience as an Estimator Exposure to estimation software (e.g., Agtek Gradework, Highway, Underground and Materials, Auto

CAD, HCSS
