Steel Estimator

This Steel Estimator opportunity is based in Independence, MO, and offers the chance to work on diverse structural steel projects including hospitals, churches, and mid-rise buildings up to 4-5 stories. With a supportive team, long-tenured staff, and no micromanagement, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced estimator who wants stability and the ability to see projects through from bid to completion. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Steel Estimator position include: Minimum 5+ years of experience in steel estimating, preferably within structural steel or ironworker-related projects Review construction drawings and specifications using Bluebeam and digital plan systems to prepare accurate estimates Estimate structural steel projects ranging from $2K to $10M within a 150-mile local service area Manage projects from initial estimate through oversight of project progress, coordinating with superintendents and general foremen Utilize tools such as Bluebeam and Procore for takeoffs, documentation, and project coordination Prepare cost calculations, material quantities, and pricing for beams and structural steel components Work primarily in an office-based environment reviewing plans, prints, and digital drawings Collaborate with a small team of estimators and leadership to ensure projects meet schedule and budget expectations

Salary:

$60,000 - $90,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
