full-time Senior Estimator - Codaray Construction ???? Hattiesburg or Ridgeland, MS | Full-time | On-site Codaray Construction is a commercial general contractor headquartered in Mississippi. To support continued growth in our project pipeline, we are expanding our estimating department and seeking an additional Senior Estimator to manage the bid process from pre-bid through handoff to operations and to provide leadership within the estimating team.. Position Summary Reporting to the Director of Preconstruction, the Senior Estimator is responsible for managing assigned pursuits across hard bid, design-build, and negotiated delivery methods. The role oversees portions of the estimating team, and serves as the primary technical and commercial point of accountability on assigned bids. Responsibilities Manage the full bid lifecycle, including strategy development, pre-bid meetings, site walkthroughs, scope coordination, and transition of awarded work to project management Perform and oversee quantity takeoffs, cost analyses, and bid tabulations Maintain estimating databases for material pricing, subcontractor coverage, and historical cost data Solicit subcontractor and vendor participation and maintain ongoing trade relationships Supervise, train, and develop assigned estimating staff Coordinate with Purchasing, Accounting, and Project Management to ensure consistency between estimates and project execution Qualifications Minimum of ten (10) years of commercial construction estimating experience across hard bid, design-build, and negotiated delivery Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Proficiency in estimating software Strong working knowledge of drawings, specifications, contracts, and cost coding systems Demonstrated experience managing and developing estimating personnel Valid driver's license with a favorable driving record Apply on or send your resume to careers@codaray.com.
