Job Description

Senior Heavy Civil Estimator Job Summary A large, well-established heavy civil contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Heavy Civil Estimator to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of heavy civil estimating experience across a broad range of construction scopes and be capable of developing competitive, accurate bids for complex projects. Responsibilities Prepare detailed estimates and competitive bids for heavy civil construction projects Perform quantity takeoffs and develop accurate labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs Review plans, specifications, scopes of work, and contract documents Estimate a variety of heavy civil projects, including: Sitework and earthwork Roadway construction Asphalt paving Underground utilities Storm drainage Concrete and structures Grading and excavation Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing Coordinate with project management, operations, purchasing, and field teams Identify project risks, exclusions, and potential cost-saving opportunities Manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously Assist with bid strategy, proposal preparation, and final bid review Provide estimating guidance and mentorship to less-experienced estimators Qualifications 7+ years of heavy civil construction estimating experience Strong experience estimating multiple heavy civil scopes, including sitework, roadway, paving, utilities, and structures Strong ability to read and interpret civil construction plans and specifications Proven experience performing detailed quantity takeoffs and cost analysis Strong mathematical, analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple complex bids simultaneously HCSS HeavyBid experience strongly preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other estimating/project management software Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Performance-based bonus Strong 401(k) match Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits Paid time off and holidays Professional development and advancement opportunities Opportunity to work for a large, reputable heavy civil contractor with a strong project backlog Send resume to mitchell.guerrieri@gogpac.com for more information
