Job Description

The Fordy Group is partnering with a leading heavy civil contractor in the Charlotte, NC area to find a Senior Estimator . This is an exciting opportunity to lead the estimating process for Heavy Highway and Road Projects , working on high-profile infrastructure work in a fast-paced environment.
Role Overview:
The Senior Estimator will take ownership of preconstruction efforts, developing accurate cost estimates, performing quantity takeoffs, and coordinating subcontractor pricing. The role requires strong analytical skills, leadership, and a proven ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed cost estimates for heavy civil, highway, and asphalt projects Review plans, specifications, and bid documents to define project scope Perform quantity takeoffs and enter data into HCSS HeavyBid Coordinate subcontractor and supplier pricing, including RFPs and RFIs Identify risks, constructability concerns, and value-engineering opportunities Collaborate with project management and operations to ensure estimates align with construction methods
Candidate Profile:
Proven experience estimating heavy civil and asphalt projects Strong analytical and organizational skills Proficiency with HCSS , Bluebeam Revu , and/or AGTEK Ability to read, interpret, and scale civil engineering plans Microsoft Office proficiency; CAD experience a plus

INDTFG Pay:
$130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
