C.S. Brown Tile & Stone is an established tile, stone and flooring contractor servicing the Carolinas for over four decades. As we continue to grow, we are looking for an Estimator to join our Charlotte team. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for tile and stone projects. This position will review plans and specifications, perform material and labor takeoffs, obtain pricing, and work closely with our sales, operations, vendors, and customers throughout the estimating process. We are looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with numbers and construction documents, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities:

Review architectural drawings, plans, specifications, and project documents. Perform accurate quantity takeoffs for tile, stone, and related materials. Estimate material, labor, and other project costs. Prepare detailed proposals and bid packages. Request and evaluate vendor and supplier pricing. Track bid deadlines and maintain organized project documentation. Communicate with builders, general contractors, vendors, and internal team members. Identify potential scope issues or discrepancies before bids are submitted. Assist with revisions, change orders, and value-engineering opportunities as needed. Work closely with the operations team to ensure a smooth transition from estimating to project execution.

Qualifications:

Previous estimating or construction industry experience. Tile, stone, flooring, or related trade experience is a plus. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Strong mathematical and analytical skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Comfortable managing multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with computers and estimating-related software. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team.

Pay:

$60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
