In this vital role, you will drive the success of construction projects and casework / millwork projects by accurately assessing costs, preparing detailed estimates, and collaborating closely with clients, project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors. Your expertise will ensure competitive pricing, effective cost control, and seamless project execution from initial bid to project completion. Duties Prepare comprehensive estimates for building projects and custom casework projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and project scope documents. Utilize estimating takeoff software such as Planswift and Bluebeam to develop precise cost projections and detailed takeoffs. Collaborate with project managers and clients to review project requirements, clarify scope, and refine pricing strategies. Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favorable pricing while maintaining quality standards. Conduct site visits to gather on-the-ground insights, assess construction conditions, and verify quantities for accurate estimates. Monitor project budgets throughout the bidding process and during construction to support effective cost control measures. Review contracts, change orders, and project documentation to ensure alignment with estimates and contractual obligations. Skills Proficiency in construction estimating tools such as Planswift and Bluebeam is essential for accurate bid development. Strong negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing while fostering positive relationships with vendors and subcontractors. Solid understanding of construction processes, site management, and contract administration within commercial building projects. Knowledge of construction management principles, including scheduling, safety protocols, and quality assurance. Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications related to buildings and casework installations.
