This role is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for commercial HVAC and mechanical construction projects throughout North Carolina, with involvement in preconstruction and business development activities. Key Responsibilities Review construction drawings, specifications, addenda, and bid documents. Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for ductwork, HVAC equipment, piping, controls, insulation, specialties, and associated mechanical systems. Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations. Develop accurate labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates. Prepare detailed bid proposals, scope letters, and budget pricing. Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as required. Identify value engineering opportunities and alternate solutions. Participate in design-build and negotiated project pursuits. Collaborate with owners, engineers, architects, and contractors during preconstruction. Determine pre-bid viability and recommend alternatives. Support business development and customer relationship efforts. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of commercial HVAC estimating, mechanical construction, or related industry experience required. Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems, ductwork, piping, controls, and equipment. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Experience preparing detailed HVAC takeoffs and cost estimates. Strong analytical and communication skills. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening. Pay:
