The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating for construction projects, including site development, utilities, roadwork, and infrastructure. This role is critical in preparing accurate cost estimates, supporting bid submissions, and contributing to overall project success. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation Perform quantity takeoffs for earthwork, grading, utilities, paving, and related scopes Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options Must have ability to prepare bids, proposal submissions, and process change orders. Collaborate with project managers and field teams during preconstruction and handoff Qualifications Minimum 3+ years of experience as an estimator in construction Proven experience with projects such as commerical/industrial, utilities, grading and site construction. Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and pricing Proficiency in estimating software (i.e. PlanSwift) Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field welcomed or equivalent job experience Preferred Experience Experience working with DOT or municipal projects Knowledge of local subcontractor and supplier markets Experienced with Industrial and Commercial projects Familiarity with project scheduling and budgeting What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience Paid holidays Retirement plan option Opportunities for career growth and advancement Requirements for All Employees Must be able to pass a drug test.
