In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project specifications, and collaborating closely with clients, project managers, and subcontractors. Your expertise will help ensure competitive pricing, effective cost control, and successful project execution from inception to completion. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute from small to large-scale electrical projects while honing your skills in construction estimating and project management. Responsibilities Develop comprehensive electrical cost estimates by reviewing project plans, specifications, and technical documents using tools like Bluebeam and Accubid. Conduct detailed quantity takeoffs and analyze labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs aligned with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Collaborate with clients and subcontractors through negotiation to secure favorable pricing and contractual terms. Prepare bid proposals that accurately reflect project scope, schedule, and budget considerations while ensuring compliance with construction standards. Monitor project budgets during execution to maintain cost control and identify potential overruns early. Assist in contract review and management, ensuring all project bids align with contractual obligations and scope of work. Support project management teams by providing detailed estimates that inform scheduling, resource allocation, and procurement strategies. Experience Proven experience in construction estimating within the electrical field, demonstrating a strong understanding of electrical systems and construction processes. Familiarity with construction site operations, safety standards, and project management principles. Proficiency in estimating software such as Accubid, Live Count, along with experience with Bluebeam and Microsoft products such as Excel and Word. Solid knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code) requirements for electrical installations. Demonstrated ability in negotiation, pricing strategies, and cost control to maximize project profitability. Strong electrical experience combined with construction management or site supervision background is preferred. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams, clients, and vendors while managing multiple projects efficiently.
