Construction Estimator Our growing Claremont, NH client is seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to support the success of their residential construction projects. This direct-hire role offers a collaborative and dynamic environment, opportunities for career growth, and competitive salary and benefits! Responsibilities of the Construction Estimator
  • Use pricing program to prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates, including labor, materials, and equipment
  • Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to understand project scope and requirements
  • Contact vendors to verify material specifications and costs
  • Collaborate with project managers, in-house designers, and purchasing department; advise team of specification changes as needed
  • Maintain an up-to-date material cost database
  • Identify and clearly communicate potential risks related to budget, timelines, and project scope Additional Information Help for Additional Information. Qualifications of the Construction Estimator
  • Previous experience in residential or commercial construction estimating, or extensive knowledge of residential construction materials and practices; experience in residential CAD design also strongly considered
  • Experience in timber frame, log, and conventional building is ideal
  • Ability to perform material take-offs from architectural plans
  • Understanding of construction materials, methods, and basic building code requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and Bluebeam Revu
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
  • Keen eye for detail and commitment to accuracy
