Job Description

Client Overview:
Our client, a well-established commercial construction firm, is seeking an experienced Project Estimator to join their growing Preconstruction team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and has a strong background in estimating commercial interior construction projects.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$70k - $80k
Position Overview:
The Project Estimator assists in preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects by reviewing plans, performing quantity takeoffs, and obtaining pricing for labor, materials, and equipment. This role works closely with Project Managers, subcontractors, and vendors to develop competitive bids while ensuring estimates are completed accurately and on schedule. Responsibilities of the
Project Estimator:
Prepare project estimates, budgets, and bid proposals. Perform quantity take-offs and analyze project plans and specifications. Solicit and evaluate subcontractor bids. Develop scopes of work and assist with bid package preparation. Collaborate with project teams and subcontractors throughout the estimating process. Identify value engineering opportunities and support cost-saving initiatives. Required Experience/Skills for the
Project Estimator:
Minimum of 2 years of estimating experience on commercial and industrial fit-out projects. Ability to interpret architectural and MEP drawings. Must come from a general contracting background. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills. Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Preferred Experience/Skills for the
Project Estimator:
Experience estimating commercial interior construction projects. Experience collaborating with subcontractors, vendors, and project management teams. Knowledge of value engineering and cost-saving strategies.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is required.
