Job Description
My client is an established specialty contractor performing concrete restoration, parking garage rehabilitation, waterproofing, façade and masonry restoration, and structural repairs throughout NJ, NY and PA. The Senior Estimator will lead estimating and preconstruction by reviewing project documents, developing estimates, evaluating costs and risks, preparing bids, and supporting project handoffs.
ResponsibilitiesReview drawings, specifications and project requirements.
Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and develop complete estimatesAttend pre-bid meetings and site visitsEvaluate labor, materials, equipment, access, staging and phasingSolicit and analyze subcontractor and vendor quotationsIdentify scope gaps, risks and value-engineering opportunitiesPrepare bid packages and proposalsParticipate in bid reviews and project handoffs to operationsQualificationConstruction EstimatingConcrete Restoration and WaterproofingConstruction Drawings and SpecificationsConstruction Means, Methods, and CostsBluebeam RevuPlanSwiftProject ManagementRequired5+ years of construction estimating and/or project management experienceAbility to read and interpret drawings and specificationsStrong understanding of construction means, methods and costsExperience with Bluebeam Revu, PlanSwift or similar estimating softwareOrganized, detail-oriented and able to independently manage multiple bidsPreferredExperience in concrete restoration, waterproofing, parking garages, façade or masonry restoration, or similar specialty construction strongly preferred
