We're looking for an Estimator to join our Eastern Region Construction (ERC) team in NSW, with the opportunity to work from our Campbelltown, Dapto or Thornton offices. Reporting to the Pre-Contracts Manager, you'll play an important role within our Pre-Contracts team, supporting the delivery of high-quality, competitive tenders across a diverse range of civil infrastructure projects. Our clients include state and local government authorities as well as private sector organisations throughout NSW. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment where your contribution directly influences successful project outcomes. You'll be involved throughout the tender lifecycle, partnering with internal stakeholders, subcontractors, suppliers and clients to develop strong commercial and technical solutions. What you'll do Review tender documentation, including specifications, drawings and project requirements Undertake site visits to inform methodology, risk assessments and pricing assumptions Prepare scopes of work, schedules of quantities and resource requirements Produce accurate first-principles estimates, including quantity take-offs and detailed cost build-ups Coordinate the tender process and ensure the effective and timely delivery of estimates as part of the bid management process Source and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing and lead negotiations where required Complete detailed price analysis and identify commercial risks and opportunities Contribute to tender submissions, review processes and project handovers to delivery teams Participate in post-tender negotiations and provide supporting analysis for the management of identified risks Liaise regularly with Project Managers, Engineers, Quantity Surveyors and Commercial teams to develop winning tender strategies How you'll connect to the role: Our Civil and Manufacturing team is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator who brings strong technical knowledge and commercial acumen gained through civil infrastructure and road construction projects. Whether your background is in estimating, project engineering or delivery, you'll have a solid understanding of construction methodologies, project risk, and the factors that drive successful project outcomes. We're looking for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, builds strong relationships with stakeholders, and can draw on their industry experience to add value throughout the tendering process. Experience with first-principles estimating and estimating software such as Expert or Benchmark will be highly regarded. Our people share the same set of values that keep us REAL.
