Job Overview The Estimating Coordinator supports the estimating and preconstruction team in preparing accurate, detailed, and competitive pricing for a variety of commercial projects. This role offers exposure to every aspect of the estimating process—from reviewing drawings and performing takeoffs to engaging subcontractors and assisting in bid proposals. The position is ideal for someone eager to learn the business of general contracting, develop strong technical skills, and grow into a senior estimator or preconstruction manager role within our expanding regional team. Responsibilities Estimating & Takeoffs Assist in preparing detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates across all CSI divisions (architectural, structural, MEP, sitework, finishes, etc.). Subcontractor & Vendor Coordination Support the solicitation, organization, and analysis of subcontractor and vendor proposals across all trades. Maintain bid coverage and ensure timely follow-up for competitive participation. Assist in preparing detailed scope sheets and comparing proposals for completeness. Bid Preparation & Proposal Support Support Senior Estimators in developing detailed bid proposals and cost summaries for submission to clients. Participate in internal bid reviews and post-bid scope evaluations. Assist in preparing budget estimates, GMP proposals, and design-assist pricing. Preconstruction & Collaboration Work closely with project managers, superintendents, and design teams to ensure accurate cost alignment during preconstruction. Support value engineering and constructability reviews. Participate in client and subcontractor meetings as needed. Review drawings, specifications, and addenda to identify scope requirements, inconsistencies, and value engineering opportunities. Utilize estimating software such as Bluebeam and Procore to perform takeoffs and pricing exercises. Help maintain and update historical cost data. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred. 0-3 years of relevant experience in construction estimating or project management (co-op or internship experience acceptable). Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and trade scopes. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Bluebeam and Procore preferred. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and analytical mindset. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
