Job Description

Avon Contractors, a leading commercial drywall subcontractor, is expanding its estimating department and seeking a highly skilled Estimator to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity work within an a successful estimating department while working directly with the company leadership. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented professional with experience in construction estimating, specifically in commercial carpentry and drywall. Why Join Avon Contractors? 100%

Key Responsibilities:

Review and interpret bid documents, construction drawings, and specifications. Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for commercial carpentry scopes, including metal framing, drywall, insulation, acoustical ceilings, and rough carpentry , using On-Screen Takeoff software. Develop and present comprehensive proposals, clearly outlining the scope of work, inclusions, and exclusions. Maintain and strengthen client relationships through consistent communication and follow-ups.

Qualifications:

Strong understanding of construction drawings and commercial carpentry trades (Metal Framing, Drywall, Insulation, Acoustical Ceilings, Rough Carpentry). Proficiency in On-Screen Takeoff and QuickBid (On-Center Software). Or similar. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and analytical skills. Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships. This is a full-time, in-office position based in Wall Township, NJ.
