Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Project Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs and budgets for commercial HVAC projects, ensuring competitive and profitable bids. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in blueprint reading, material cost estimating, and construction project budgeting. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers and clients to deliver precise estimates within deadlines, contributing to the successful execution of our projects. Duties Review and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine project scope and requirements. Prepare detailed material cost estimates based on project plans and specifications. Estimate construction project budgets by analyzing labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs. Collaborate with project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors to gather accurate pricing information and project coordination. Ensure all estimates are completed within established deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and presentations for potential clients. Continuously update estimating databases and stay informed about current market prices for HVAC materials and equipment. Identify potential cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety standards. Qualifications Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in commercial HVAC estimating or related roles. Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings effectively. Strong skills in material cost estimating and construction project budgeting. Highly detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills. Ability to work well under deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Good communication skills to collaborate with team members, suppliers, and clients. Knowledge of current HVAC industry standards, codes, and best practices is preferred.
