Construction Estimator

Sovereign Hydroseal is searching for a Construction Estimator to join its growing and expanding team. The Construction Estimator will be responsible for the technical completion of costing, drafting, and submission of bids and estimates for highly complex and challenging projects across multiple geographical locations. The incumbent will review blueprints, drawings, and scopes of work to create precise and competitive estimates leading to a successful bidding process. This position requires a high level of costing accuracy and the ability to coordinate across multiple disciplines and specialities to ensure all submissions are complete, accurate, and timely. Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 1. Perform comprehensive material and labor reviews to compile accurate costing and estimates. 2. Review drawings, reports, and scopes of work to ensure work gaps do not exist and the project and construction estimate is accurate and competitive. 3. Manage, compile, coordinate, and submit final bids to owners (or owner representatives) to which include may private and public owners. 4. Conduct site inspections to verify current conditions and determine if logistical challenges may arise which may impact costs or timelines. 5. Maintain historical costing and bidding data. Required Qualifications 1. Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or Architecture. 2. 10+ Years of construction estimating experience primarily in New York City. 3. Prior experience with estimating and bid submissions for New York City Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA), Port Authority of New York / New Jersey, and other public works projects in New York City. Preferred Qualifications 1. ASPE

• Certified Professional Estimator or equivalent.

Salary Range:

$130,000

• $175,000

This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary for this position. The base salary range listed is what Sovereign Hydroseal believes it will pay for this role at the time of this positing. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors which include professional credentials, technical expertise, field experience, and education.
