Job Description

Otterbeck Builders has been remodeling & renovating local homes in the entire Capital Region for over 35 years. We currently are seeking applicants to expand our estimating/sales department.

Responsibilities/Duties:
Estimator will prepare estimates in a "timely fashion" for projects given to them by the Sales Department. Must have good communication skills (verbal/email), to gather pricing from vendors/sub-contractors, and to contact customer's with any questions that may arise that would be needed to complete estimate. Estimator will prepare any revisions necessary when a prospect becomes a a customer. Estimator will participate in project starts, progress of project and final quality control of project. Estimator may be required to assist the Production Manager or Assistant Production Manager if necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's degree or equivalent in construction management/related field or a minimum 5 years experience. Ability to work independently and adhere to deadlines. Comprehensive math skills. Basic computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office software and residential estimating software. Estimator must be able to prepare entire estimation for roofing, siding, windows, kitchens, bathrooms, flooring and decks. Able to review, understand, and explain precision technical plans, blueprints and drawings. Basic knowledge of materials, design and building methods. Basic knowledge of safety practices and all OSHA rules and regulations. This job primarily operates in a professional office environment. Must have reliable transportation.
