JUNIOR PROJECT MANAGER / ESTIMATOR

Glenmont, NY Fusco Personnel is recruiting for a driven, detail-oriented professional to join our client as a Junior Project Manager / Estimator. This role offers hands-on exposure to estimating, bidding, and project coordination for construction projects, with responsibilities spanning bid preparation through project closeout. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, sharp attention to detail, and a genuine interest in building a career in the construction industry.

Responsibilities:

Analyze architectural drawings, specifications, and bid packages to complete quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment. Assist in preparing accurate, well-supported bid proposals for review by senior estimators and project managers. Request and evaluate pricing from suppliers and subcontractors, comparing quotes and clarifying scope details. Build and maintain positive working relationships with trade partners and vendors. Support project setup, schedule tracking, and change order processing throughout the project lifecycle. Maintain organized, up-to-date project documentation from kickoff through closeout. Serve as a communication link between senior project managers, clients, vendors, subcontractors, and field staff to keep project information current.

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma. Strong math and analytical abilities with excellent attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Comfortable working in an office setting with occasional visits to active job sites.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field. 0-3 years of experience in construction, estimating, or project coordination/administration. Blueprint reading ability. Familiarity with estimating software. CAD skills or exposure to steel design.

Salary:

40K to 70K based on experience and qualifications; Full-time role with benefits (paid time off, paid holidays, health insurance options, and retirement plan options).
