Job Description:
We're currently working with an established long term General Contractor who are looking to add an experienced Senior Estimator to their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an estimator with a strong background in public-sector construction who is looking to take on a key role within a growing and well-established contractor. You'll be responsible for leading the estimating process from preconstruction through bid submission, working closely with clients, subcontractors, architects, and internal project teams. The ideal candidate will have experience estimating public-sector projects , including: K-12 Schools Higher Education Libraries Hospitals & Healthcare Facilities Municipal Buildings Government Facilities Civic & Community Projects Key Responsibilities Lead estimates from initial concept through final bid. Review plans, specifications, scopes of work, and contract documents. Develop accurate quantity takeoffs and detailed cost estimates. Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor bids. Develop project budgets and provide value-engineering recommendations. Work closely with Preconstruction, Project Management, and Operations teams. Participate in bid reviews and presentations. Identify project risks, exclusions, and potential cost exposures. Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and design teams. What We're Looking For 7+ years of construction estimating experience. Proven experience estimating public-sector construction projects . Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, materials, and costs. Experience with projects such as schools, libraries, hospitals, government, or municipal facilities. Strong knowledge of plans, specifications, contracts, and construction documents. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred. Why Consider This Opportunity?
