Job Description

Job Overview This is a full-time on-site role for a Estimator located in Montgomery, NY. The primary responsibilities of this role include managing project timelines, coordinating with teams, overseeing materials procurement, evaluating and review possible bid opportunities and leads, ensuring project compliance with specifications and standards, and creating cost estimates. The Estimator will play a key role in planning, expediting processes, and maintaining smooth operations across all project phases to achieve successful outcomes. Duties 25 + Plus years in the commercial drywall industry as an Estimator/Project manager. Proven track record in Project Management and the ability to handle all aspects of project planning and execution. Projects include Hotels, Retail, Assistant Living and Commercial Housing. Proficient with Onscreen, Quick bid, Procore, Bluebeam, Bluebook, Smart bid, Autodesk, CRM systems and Excel. Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and time management abilities. Estimate and manage projects up to $15MM. Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as construction management or engineering, is preferred. Qualifications Proven experience in construction estimating and project management within the construction industry. Proficiency with Bluebeam for document review and markup; HeavyBid or similar estimating software is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles, contracts, and cost control strategies. Hands-on construction site experience that provides practical understanding of on-the-ground operations. Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with clients and subcontractors. Familiarity with construction management practices including scheduling, safety compliance, and quality assurance. Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications accurately.
