In this role, you will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs, preparing comprehensive bids, and collaborating closely with project managers, clients, and subcontractors. Your expertise will help ensure our projects are competitively priced while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to diverse construction projects, utilizing your skills in estimation, negotiation, and construction management to deliver outstanding results. Duties Prepare detailed construction estimates by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and project scope documents using tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid software. Develop accurate cost projections for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services to create competitive bids. Collaborate with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to negotiate pricing and terms that align with project budgets and timelines. Review contracts and scope of work to ensure all project requirements are clearly understood and accounted for in estimates. Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to support effective cost control and identify potential overruns early. Assist in the development of project schedules and coordinate with construction site teams to ensure estimates align with on-site realities. Support project management teams by providing detailed bid proposals, risk assessments, and value engineering suggestions that optimize project outcomes. Qualifications Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction processes and site operations. Proficiency in estimating software such as HeavyBid or equivalent tools; familiarity with Bluebeam is highly desirable. Solid knowledge of construction management principles, contracts, cost control strategies, and pricing techniques. Hands-on experience working on construction sites or within a construction management environment is preferred. Excellent negotiation skills coupled with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and confidently. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in preparing accurate estimates and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
