About us Aria Glass NY is a growing glass and glazing contractor based in Rego Park, Queens. We work on commercial and residential projects across New York. Storefronts, railings, canopies, glass partitions, shower enclosures, and architectural metal. We are building our team and looking for an Estimator who can own the full bid-to-close cycle. The Role You read drawings, perform takeoffs, price the work, and close the deal. You hand off awarded jobs to the Project Manager and focus on winning the next one. This is not a quote-and-wait job. Responsibilities Analyze architectural drawings, specifications, and project documents to determine full scope of work Perform digital and manual quantity takeoffs for glass, glazing systems, and architectural metals Calculate material, labor, fabrication, and overhead costs to produce accurate and profitable bids Request, review, and negotiate pricing from vendors, fabricators, and suppliers Identify value engineering opportunities without compromising quality or design intent Prepare and submit detailed bid proposals and scope letters Attend pre-bid meetings, site walkthroughs, and scope review meetings as needed Identify scope gaps and flag potential installation risks during the bidding phase Follow up on open proposals and manage client communication through to award Coordinate with the Project Manager and field team for a smooth transition from estimating to execution Manage multiple bids simultaneously under strict deadlines Maintain updated records of supplier pricing, labor rates, and bid history Requirements 3+ years of estimating experience in commercial glass, glazing, or architectural metals Strong ability to read and interpret architectural blueprints, structural drawings, and specifications Technical knowledge of glazing systems: storefronts, railings, canopies, partitions, framed and frameless Proficient with estimating or takeoff software (Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar) Advanced Excel skills; comfortable building and managing detailed bid sheets Strong communication skills, written and verbal Able to manage competing deadlines with a high degree of accuracy Valid driver's license required
Pay:
$55,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
