Job Description
Front Line Trace Consulting LLC is seeking an Estimator / Sr. Estimator to join the Design & Construction Team for the New York State Office of General Services (OGS). This position may be based out of any of these upstate NY regional locations: Comstock, Dannemora, Malone, Saranac Lake, Comstock, Rome, Marcy, or Watertown.
Responsibilities:
Act as liaison between contractors, field personnel, client, executive staff and contract management on issues and complex matters Review of orders on contract for contract/procedural compliance Manage all orders on contract for projects within the Division of Construction - Region 5 Estimate and negotiate orders on contract with contractors in accordance with the contract Assist with the review of project claims when requested Develop cost estimates for project teams
Qualifications:
For Estimator:
Shall possess, at a minimum, four (4) years of experience respectively, in cost estimating, including the cost preparation/review of architectural, mechanical, electrical systems/components of building construction projects, along with the review/negotiation of cost proposals. Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field, or associates degree with 2 years of construction estimating experience Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel Experience with construction estimating software - i.e. Means CostWorks OSHA 10 For Sr.
Estimator:
Shall possess, at a minimum, six (6) years of experience respectively, in cost estimating, including the cost preparation/review of architectural, mechanical, electrical systems/components of building construction projects, along with the review/negotiation of cost proposals. Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field with two (2) years of construction estimating experience, OR associates degree with four (4) years of construction estimating experience Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel Experience with construction estimating software - i.e. Means CostWorks OSHA 10 Front Line Trace Consulting is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
