The Opportunity:

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to join a global leader in Cost & Project Management, working on major and complex construction projects across New York. You'll work closely with clients and project teams throughout the full project lifecycle, from estimating and cost planning through procurement, cost control, change management and final account. This is a client-facing role offering the opportunity to take ownership of projects, build strong client relationships and contribute to the successful delivery of high-profile construction programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and manage project estimates, cost plans, forecasts and budgets. Lead procurement activities including tender analysis, bid levelling, vendor assessment and recommendations. Provide cost reporting, forecasting, risk management and value engineering advice to clients. Manage cost control, payment applications, change orders and wider commercial issues. Review and negotiate contractor and subcontractor pricing. Support clients and project teams throughout pre- and post-contract stages. Manage cost checks, valuations and change control processes. Prepare monthly cost reports and provide clear commercial advice to clients. Benchmark project performance and costs against comparable projects.

About You:

Relevant Cost Management / Quantity Surveying experience gained within a Construction Consultancy. Minimum 5-7 years' relevant experience in a cost management role within the construction industry. Experience working on medium to large-scale, complex construction projects. Background across sectors such as commercial, high-rise, mixed-use, data centres, or other private/public sector projects would be advantageous. Strong knowledge of cost management, procurement, value management and value engineering. Strong communication, stakeholder management and client-facing skills.
