Construction Estimator Location:

Watertown, NY (100% onsite or site visits) A growing commercial general contractor is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join their team in Watertown, NY. This role will support commercial, municipal, and federal construction projects ranging from $100K to $7M across New York State. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on estimator who enjoys working independently, collaborating closely with project teams, and contributing to a growing organization with a strong pipeline of work. Responsibilities Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents Develop accurate labor, material, and equipment estimates Prepare competitive bids for design/build and plan/spec projects Write detailed subcontractor scopes of work Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing Collaborate with project managers and leadership during preconstruction Interpret engineering drawings and identify value engineering opportunities Track multiple bids, deadlines, and estimating priorities simultaneously Maintain historical pricing databases and estimating tools Support project turnover and handoff after award Qualifications 5+ years of commercial and/or government construction estimating experience Design-build construction experience required Strong understanding of all construction divisions Ability to independently prepare complete estimates and scopes Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Engineering background preferred Experience with Sage Timberline, Primavera, and Bluebeam preferred Compensation & Benefits $90,000-$120,000 base salary Annual bonus opportunity Flexible work schedule Hybrid flexibility after onboarding Company vehicle for site visits Health and vision coverage with strong employer contribution 401(k) with company match Paid holidays and PTO Why Join This Team This is an opportunity to join a growing construction company where your expertise and input will directly impact project success and company growth.
