Job Description

As a senior estimator, your primary responsibility will be to provide accurate job estimates by interpreting drawings and bid documents.
This involves:
Deciphering intricate blueprints and bid documents to yield accurate job estimates.

Utilizing a blend of advanced software and traditional methods to determine quantities for labor, equipment, and materials.

Playing a pivotal role in sourcing and assessing quotations from various subcontractors and vendors.

Strengthening our network by establishing and nurturing ties with suppliers, ensuring we're always abreast of evolving industry practices.

Offering unwavering support to both the Project Management and Engineering departments, addressing, and resolving inquiries.

Adhering to the dynamic demands of the role, including the completion of other pertinent duties as they arise.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or other industry related fieldExperience in lieu of degree also welcomed.
Experience:
A minimum of 7 years of experience in Estimating within the heavy construction industry.

Demonstrable expertise in handling takeoffs, especially in the domains of heavy construction and highways.

A knack for efficient multitasking coupled with an organized approach to work.

An unparalleled attention to detail, coupled with a commitment to producing top-tier results.

Resilience under pressure, particularly when confronted with demanding timelines.

Strong leadership tendencies and the ability to seamlessly integrate into diverse teams.

An inherent ability to foster and maintain robust professional ties.

Previous exposure to HCSS-Heavy Bid will be viewed favorably, though it isn't a prerequisite.
