Position Summary:
A sample of the position's duties and responsibilities include; Champion safety throughout the organization All facets of project estimating including: analyzing plans and proposals, defining scope of work, soliciting subcontractor and supplier bids, ensuring accurate quantities, and preparing bid packages Identify bid opportunities, obtain and review bid documents and plans. Assess opportunities and risks through plan reviews and site visits. All facets of bid preparation, review and submission. Coordinate subcontractor and supplier proposals. Assist in development of project schedule. Support transition to project construction management team and development of subcontracts, purchase orders and submittals. Manage and develop production cost-history through field verifications, measurements and production analysis. Perform job costing analysis and provide feedback to field supervisors regarding performance versus budget.
Qualified candidates will possess:
BS in Civil Engineering or equivalent degree. 5+ years of Structures / Bridge Project experience. PE certification preferred but not necessary. Experience in field operations and estimating from a contractor's perspective. Heavy-civil engineering experience and expertise. Strong teamwork, communication, self-motivation, leadership and organizational skills. No phone calls, please.
