Construction Estimator

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team. Seek Construction is focused on Earthwork, Utilities and Concrete. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing project specifications, preparing cost estimates, and ensuring that all estimates align with project budgets and timelines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management and a keen eye for detail, enabling them to effectively negotiate contracts and manage costs throughout the construction process. Duties

• Review project plans and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Understand how to read and pull useful information out of GEO Reports.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather necessary information for estimating.
• Utilize software tools such as Insite for efficient estimating processes.
• Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather data for accurate pricing.
• Develop detailed cost breakdowns including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead expenses.
• Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable terms.
• Monitor project costs throughout the construction phase to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
• Prepare reports on estimated versus actual costs for project evaluation. Skills
• Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles and practices.
• Proficiency in construction management software, particularly Insite.
• Excellent negotiation skills to effectively manage contracts with various stakeholders.
• Ability to analyze complex data sets and provide actionable insights for cost control.
• Familiarity with construction site operations and safety regulations.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey estimates clearly to team members and clients.

• Construction Management Degree or simuliar degree and/or 5-10 years of experence
